About the Author
Tershia Lambrechts was born and raised in South Africa and immigrated with her veterinarian husband, three young children and a parrot to Canada in 1972.
Due to her pioneering upbringing in South Africa and South West Africa (now Namibia), which included living on a remote farm in the north and in the Namib desert; and having survived the immigration trauma of moving to Canada, the author felt she was up to the challenge of moving to Belize.
She wrote her book to create the awareness that visiting and living in the tropics are two profoundly different experiences.
Today she and her husband are retirees who live with three dogs and two cats on Vancouver Island.
This is her first book.
